Southwest Crisis Services is a non-profit, community-based organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Located in Swift Current, Southwest Crisis Services serves the entire southwest corner of Saskatchewan.

Southwest Crisis Services was established in October 1984 as a result of a merger of the Swift Current Sexual Assault Centre and Southwest Action Group for Battered Women. The Crisis Line, answered 24 hours a day, came into service in October 1985 and includes both a local and a toll-free number. Southwest Safe Shelter was opened in March 1989, followed by the establishment of Genesis House (Second-stage housing) in June 1993.
Southwest Crisis Services is a member agency of the Provincial Association of Transition Houses and Services (PATHS) and Sexual Assault Services Saskatchewan.

At Southwest Crisis Services we employ a model of trauma and domestic violence informed service.
OUR SERVICES
Safe Shelter

A safe place for women and children escaping abusive situations. Also serving women & children who are at risk of experiencing violence.

Counselling Team
​
Supporting people who have been or who are impacted by intimate partner violence. Clinical counselling, advocacy, therapeutic group support, referrals, community outreach, youth camps and educational presentations. Serving people of all ages & genders.
